Meet The Content Emporium design team

James Croft, Helena Steele, Emily Turner, Scott Molumby and Robyn McBryde outside our central Bristol office

Meet our creatives who have backgrounds in agency work, advertising, branding, magazines and film and also find time to teach and follow their own artistic projects. Our multi-talented design team’s skills are a melting pot of graphic design, illustration, creative direction, motion graphics, and more. If you’re searching for a design agency that pushes the boundaries, is always on the hunt for new ideas and is a pleasure to work with then look no further.

Emily, Head of Design, directs the art department and manages the day-to-day running of the creative team. She has a solid commercial background and branding is her thing. She says:

“I’ve been a part of the lovely TCE team now for nearly five years, and, as Head of Design, I create and manage all of the print and digital content for our clients. With over 20 years of experience in branded content, I have previously worked with brands including Britvic, NatWest, Specsavers and Npower.

I also love to get involved with ideation and exploring how that seed of an idea can develop into a strong, cohesive and impactful piece of creative content across all our clients’ channels.

I like to ensure that any creative that leaves us is of the best standard, creatively on point and in line with the brand’s visual guidelines every time.”

Helena is one of our Senior Graphic Designers, with over 10 years’ experience in women’s lifestyle print publishing. She says:

“I have lots of experience in designing print magazines, directing photoshoots, packaging and marketing campaigns. I made the leap to go freelance and I’m now lucky enough to work on some incredible brands across branding, marketing, social media and web. I love working with passionate brands and making ideas come to life and I now work for The Content Emporium on everything from social media posts to styling locations photoshoots.”

Emily Turner, Head of Design, with Robyn McBryde, Senior Graphic Designer, collaborate together on solving design challenges

Robyn, a strong creative force, brings an extraordinary range of experience to the mix and most enjoys illustrating to relax in her spare time. She says:

“I previously worked in publishing on hobby, food and travel mags at France Media Group, Immediate Media/Our Media and Future Publishing within design and marketing sectors. I also designed branding, collateral, marketing materials, etc, for small to mid-sized businesses. Plus illustrating for white label design products and puzzles.

Now I spend much of my time shooting, editing and creating reels at the centres, as well as designing various marketing materials for our clients. I’m currently absorbed in looking at The Content Emporium rebrand and keep a keen eye on design trends and new ideas to bring to the business.”

James Croft, Senior Graphic Designer, doing what he loves best; illustrating

James is one of our Senior Graphic Designers, who has worked with us since launch. He has a good eye for what makes good design and he’s in his element when given freedom to experiment. He says:
"I started my career at Immediate Media, where I was able to work across a range of magazine titles, before going freelance where I first worked for Charlotte in TCE’s early days. Now I am full time and my main role is the Art Editor on the new food magazine Infuse."

Scott Molumby, Graphic Designer and Illustrator, at our office inside the NatWest Accelerator space

Scott will turn his hand to most design challenges and is super fast in turning around pieces of work. He says:
“I cover most areas here, but lately have been focusing on our video output for social media. This includes visiting centres to capture snappy content, and editing together visually entertaining reels and stories.

Working in graphic design since graduating in 2011, I have been part of multiple design and advertising agencies, ran companies creative as an in-house designer and performed as a freelancer. These roles have had me plying my trade in Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands and Thailand.”

Jay Baulch, Motion Graphics Designer, who is a whizz at Insta reels and as well as editing film, he creates motion graphics for big campaigns

Jay has really enhanced the skill set at our agency and his eye-catching motion graphics offer our clients another inventive way to reach their audiences. He says:
“I've been creating motion graphic videos for use across social media, TV ads and out of home media for the past 8 years.

Notable clients include: O2, Virgin Media, Starling Bank, Visit Wales, Tiktok, Airbus and Clogau Gold.

At TCE I edit reels for Instagram and create animated content for use on billboards and social media ads.”

Sonny Flanagan coordinates all of the many shoots we do up and down the country. He’s an accomplished photographer and has a natural ability to capture subjects through his lens.

Sonny, Photographer & Visual Content Manager, can put anyone at ease on a photoshoot which is why he gets great portraits of models and when sent out to cover events. A real people person, he’s had a varied career and more recently has been specialising in food photography. He says:
”After starting out as an artworker I moved into Product Photography around 10 years ago, covering lifestyle and product work for several well-known gifting and homeware retailers. As a Photographer & Visual Content Manager at TCE, I shoot a variety of subjects from branded lifestyle shoots to commercial social media content, as well as managing our social media content team.”
